Based in Colorado, many of our clients reside along the Front Range, but we’re able to conduct screens for any organization that operates within the United States.

Meet Melissa

Welcome! I wanted to take this opportunity to tell you a little bit about me.

I’ve been in the Human Resources field for the past few decades.  In 2018 my late husband & I were presented with an opportunity to purchase Akurate Screening.  I had professionally utilized a variety of screening companies over the years so when this crossed our path, I welcomed the chance to assist other businesses in what can be an unclear & confusing process.

 In addition to owning the screening company, I provide operational and HR guidance to several local organizations, and I am currently training to become a certified mediator in the state of Colorado.  When I’m not working, I enjoy spending time with my young adult children, outdoor treks with my malamute & corgi, gardening, yoga & planning for the animal sanctuary I’d like to open by 2025.

When I started my career in the Human Resources field in 1999, background checks were the exception rather than the rule.
